Joan Blacher is married with two adult children. After teaching dance and retiring ten years ago, she turned to art to fill the void. "I believe the combination has helped bring a flow of movement into my work."

Joan currently has an exhibit at the Pittsboro Memorial Library Reeves Auditorium. The exhibit entitled "Dancer Turned Artist" will run through February, with a reception on Friday, February 9 from 4 - 6pm.

Joan lives with her husband in Pittsboro, NC.
