Betty Hendrix Workshop in Glendale Springs, NC

Betty Hendrix will be teaching a 3-day pastel workshop in the North Carolina mountains at the Florence Thomas Art School in Glendale Springs. The dates are August 23-25, 2010. For registration information and more information about the school, visit their website at www.florenceartschool.org.

Member Show at the ArtsCenter in Carborro, July 5-31, 2010

PSNC’s member show will be at the ArtsCenter in Carborro from July 5-31st. Drop-off is from 10am – 6pm on Friday, July 2nd and pick-up is from 10am – 6pm on Saturday, July 31.

If you’d like an image included in the promotional materials for this show, please send an image of a painting you plan to bring to Mandy Roeing. This is for publicity only, you do NOT need to send Mandy a photo of your painting to enter a piece into this member show.

All artists are encouraged to bring two (2) paintings to hang for this show.

Carolyn Schrock has an art show at the Bill Hester Art Gallery at 1035 Mt. Carmel Church Rd in Chapel Hill beginning this weekend on Saturday, June 12 from 1-5pm. The show will run until July 12. Hours of the gallery are 11am – 5pm, Thursdays through Mondays.

Carolyn has over 30 paintings on display, many of which are landscapes of sites around Chapel Hill. All are welcome.

Darlene Holland’s pastel paintings will be on exhibit in the Green Room during the month of June at Eye of the Eagle Art (401 E Main St in Clayton, NC).

Closing Exhibit Reception for the artist is June 25th from 7-9pm.

PSNC Member Vinita Jain is currently exhibiting at the Chatham Street Cafe in downtown Cary. The show runs from May 3rd till June 27th. It has mostly Soft Pastels with some Oil Pastels and Acrylics.
