Lorie Callahan’s work speaks volumes about her love of life and all it holds. Whether teaching or working with her many collectors, the experiences of life thrill and fulfill her. Lorie’s talent as a teacher has been shared with students from many countries including, Japan, Australia, Germany, South America, Mexico, Canada and many parts of the United States. Her corporate and private collectors span the United States and Japan.

From my earliest memories, painting has been an important part of my life. My visual experience of color flowing into harmony with its many hues and value has always mesmerized me. When I paint the process becomes all consuming to the point that when the painting is finished it takes me a while to fully comprehend that my interaction with it is now over and it is time to let the painting go. I can do this without regret because I know that every painting I have ever created remains a part of me. It is at this point that I realize I am free to begin the process again.

PSNC Photo Depot

All of us have trouble finding good reference photos from time to time, so we have decided to build a repository of copyright-free images donated by our members. Anyone who wishes to participate may bring as many 5x7 or 8x10 color prints of any photo they wish to release permission to use to our monthly meetings. There will be no cost to use the photos and therefore no compensation to the photographer. By sharing in this way, we can all become better artists. We hope you'll contribute to this resource!
