“Making Money Online Through Art” seminar

The Orange County Arts Commission presents an Artists’ Salon on Friday, February 27 from 6:30-9pm at the West End Theatre at The ArtsCenter (300-G East Main St.) in Carrboro. Free for artists of all disciplines.

Panelists: Sarah Powers (Visual Art Exchange) and Michelle Lyon (Knockabout) in Raleigh’s City Market.

Introduction to Soft Pastels class

PSNC artist Lorie Callahan is teaching an introduction to soft pastels class on Wednesdays from 1-3pm on March 18 through April 22 (6 weeks). The class includes soft pastel painting techniques, papers, methods of framing and the history of pastel. Also included; the importance of values, drawing, understanding color theory and keys to good composition

Some experience with drawing is helpful but beginners and continuing education students are welcome. Open to both seniors and the general public.

The cost of this class is $60 and interested artists can obtain materials list at the new North Orange County Senior Center in Hillsborough prior to first class. For registration call (919) 245-2015.
