			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>PSNC artist <a href="http://www.pastelsocietyofnc.com/artists/loriecallahan.html">Lorie Callahan</a> is teaching an introduction to soft pastels class on Wednesdays from 1-3pm on March 18 through April 22 (6 weeks). The class includes soft pastel painting techniques, papers, methods of framing and the history of pastel.  Also included; the importance of values, drawing, understanding color theory and keys to good composition</p>
<p>Some experience with drawing is helpful but beginners and continuing education students are welcome.  Open to both seniors and the general public.</p>
<p>The cost of this class is $60 and interested artists can obtain materials list at the new North Orange County Senior Center in Hillsborough prior to first class. For registration call (919) 245-2015.</p>
