The class includes soft pastel painting techniques, papers, methods of framing and the history of pastel. Also included; the importance of values, drawing, understanding color theory and keys to good composition

Some experience with drawing is helpful but beginners and continuing education students are welcome. Open to both seniors and the general public.

The cost of this class is $60 and interested artists can obtain materials list at the new North Orange County Senior Center in Hillsborough prior to first class. For registration call (919) 245-2015.
