About the Juror
Mary Roundtree Moore is an award-winning artist who resides in North Carolina. She received a BA in Art Education at UNC and studied painting at the National Academy School of Fine Arts in New York City. She shows in numerous galleries around the country and has collections in many venues, including hospitals, banks, and resorts. Her artistic expressions are in acrylic, oil, concentrated watercolor and mixed media. Her work is strongly influenced by travels in the Caribbean, Europe, North and South Carolina coastlines and the US southwest. Thirty years in apparel and product design contributed to her strong sense of color and composition. In addition to painting, she has an interest in photography and styling, and consults on various design projects. She concluded six and a half years as Design Coordinator for Vietri, Inc., importer of Italian ceramics and glass, in 1998 to concentrate more time on her painting.
