opening reception for the PSNC Carrboro show
Congratulations to Rebecca Margolese-Malin for having her painting “Bird at the Beach” chosen for the promotional post card. The Carrboro Gallery coordinator loved the whimsey and theme of this painting, and thought it was perfect for a summer show. If you have paintings in the Carrboro show, there are post cards available at the front desk area of the gallery that you can pick up and mail out to your list of contacts.
TO ALL – please join us at the Reception in Carrboro this coming Friday evening, July 11 from 6-9 PM!

the May 17th meeting
In preparation for our two exhibitions coming up this summer, the May meeting will be dedicated entirely to critiques, after the usual business meeting.
This meeting traditionally has seen a large turnout, but if you have several paintings to bring, please do so! We will endeavor to give each painting some quality time, even if a small amount. There will be goodies, wine and comraderie so mark it on your calendar!
New members – this is a great time to mix with the PSNC folks – We hope to see everyone with at least one painting to view!
Thanks – Your Board

April 2008 program by Larry Hinshaw
Mr. Larry Hinshaw will join us and bring samples of his high-end and mid range framing, matting, spacers, fillers and glass for full and professional framing of pastel artwork. PSNC’s own Luana Luconi Winner says of Larry: “He is a very fine framer who is both efficient and affordable.”
Larry will show us proper framing techniques and will utilize critique paintings to demonstrate various matting and framing looks that can be achieved. His excellent suggestions and advice should help prepare all of our members for our two upcoming exhibitions! This is another “don’t miss” program for PSNC members & visitors! Visit his website to see his framing studio!
