35 year career with IBM retiring as a Vice President in 2014.
Began my long awaited career as an artist working in oils as well as pastels (since 2020). I am a studio artist at Artspace in Raleigh. I am a signature member of the Pastel Society of NC (2023) and the American Artists Professional League (2024).
I am a student, mentee, and friend of the master artist Albert Handell. I have been juried in over 70 national and local exhibitions winning numerous awards, including 2024 awards in NC Statewide, PSNC Pure Color, AAPL 96th Grand National, SW Florida Pastel Society, Southeastern Pastel Society, and American Impressionist Society All Member Online Show.
Painting challenges me, frustrates me, and excites me as the process unfolds into a finished product. My hope is that energy conveys itself to the viewer whether it’s a known subject, the movement of color across the canvas or paper, or a memory that sparks from the painting. I desire to deliver a meaningful experience to my audience.
